Water tourism development center "Bāka"

Water tourism development center is created in nature reservation “Lubāna mitrājs” (Lubāns wetland) territory, near the largest lake in Latvia – Lubāns.

Nature reservation was created to provide uniform protection of the inland wetland complex. Lubāna wetland is a unique European and world-class natural reservation, with an outstanding role in the conservation of many specially protected species and habitats.
Lubāns and nearby fish ponds are one of the most important places of resting and feeding for migrating waterbirds in all country, also it is one of five best places for nesting for 29 in Europe specially protected bird species. Generally in Lubāns wetland are observed 224 bird species, from which 185 are nesting here.

Center offers:

• an observation deck on roof terrace;
• conference hall;
• fireplace hall;
• apartments “Water room” (for 2 persons, WC, shower, TV, Wi-Fi);
• apartments “Winds room” (for 3 persons, WC, shower. TV, Wi-Fi).

Sports activities:

• tennis and volleyball courts and inventory;
• fishing in Kvāpānu ponds from shore or boat;
• row-boats.
